I think I need to begin accepting that Trump is going to win the election in November

Biden has already lost the support of a huge chunk of his base and he's not getting it back

and I think he's completely oblivious to it on top of it

dumbass just announced another $1 billion weapons deal with Israel

like 2 weeks after he said we weren't going to keep sending Israel weapons if it didn't stop "disregarding the safety of Palestinian civilians"

which is a hell of a way to spell genocide

too many dems can't stomach Biden and Trump's supporters literally don't care what he does

he'll likely still be on trial for multiple felonies during the election and his supporters do not care

he has already announced his intention to build internment camps and more re-education centers for LGBT people

he's said he's going to deport all Palestinian refugees

Honestly as much as I hate to put it this way,

he's said he'd support Project 2025 which is a plan to reassign authority over all the federal agencies like the Department of Justice to the executive branch

way too much of the voting base just don't give a f about Israel and Palestine (as fucked up as that is by itself)

and then plans to replace all figures in those departments with Christians who pass loyalty tests to the Republicans

and incumbent presidents have a huge advantage

so I don't see Trump getting an easy win

I wish I was that optimistic

not even sure if that's the right word

I guess we'll see

I think there are a lot of apathetic people near the middle who genuinely don't care about Palestine who do NOT want to see Trump get re-elected. I don't see it being easy for Biden, but I think he's gonna win.

Trump's already seeing his numbers decline because of the trials

I have not met a single Republican who has changed their mind about voting for Trump

Maybe that doesn't reflect what polling says but I haven't trusted polling since 2016

i saw a poll recently that said most dem voters think israel is committing genocide actually

something like 56%, will have to dig up the exact figure

polls arent perfect but its still telling

At this point, I can only pray that anyone with enough political awareness to care about Palestine also has enough political awareness to understand that Trump would be substantially worse for Palestine than Biden is currently.

It's a horrifically low bar but he does manage to tunnel under it.
