i just think it would be neat for adaine and aelwyn to encounter eachother when aelwyn has had three years to properly miss adaine and regret how she acted while steadily getting worse

bc like. with Aelwyn, it's not about rehabilitation/reformation. she's going to keep being bad/doing bad things. but she reconciles her ability to be Adaine's sister and that's the part that Adaine cares about the most

yeah. and like, she's grown enough to reflect on where she went wrong with adaine. three years of being constantly thrown through your worst fears will do that. but like... the way in which an avatar of the desolation cares about someone is fundamentally destructive. so she wouldn't actually know how to be adaine's sister.
