besides jean who is my precious son who will grow up nice and strong and he will punch wellness into you

I also have a fondness for louis, like, I don't get what his deal is and nobody seems to, but he's otherwise innocuous and attractive

every character has two personality traits and they are: the one thing they are About, their Main Thing, the thing that they bring up in Every Conversation; and a secondary thing that they are known for in other convos instead but isn't the central Thing

I almost wanna say 3h spoiled us but having played other fe games I know this is not the case. it's just...bad and shallow writing...

I would love to like three hopes, and I should watch some story playthroughs or something, but I have the demo and I absolutely loathe the gameplay. musou games are...probably not for me...

the engage mechanism is okay, it's neat and the fact that you can do it with any character who then takes on a specific stylistic appearance and voice lines of that particular emblem is cool, I enjoy seeing these kids become magical girls like that

I'm seeing a trend of a limited amount of deployments in any given stage, which, yeah, that's always the thing, but I'm already reaching the point of sheer dropoff between early characters and new lords vs the other kids (rip lapis and citrinne, unless you use them in all your battles right away they lag so far behind)

I'm trrrrying to balance this out in skirmishes but I'm also using skirmishes to build bonds so all my faves are getting op and I only have so many master seals and a handful of secondary...

the only reason to ever not go back to the somniel after Every Single Battle is that between the world map will refresh and you'll lose skirmishes or new ones will pop up instead, also god it's boring to have a new garreg mach day to do after Every Single Battle, so I do all my skirmishes first

but that's also such a broken system. supports seem to take a good bit of time to build tho so I only have a couple of Bs among everyone

no idea what the point behind sommie is (I named it zackarie or some odd spelling of the name) other than hey get some free bond fragments, fishing sucks now, no idea why the game insisted that there would be whispers to use headphones with when sleeping when it's just idle chat from a bond at normal cutscene volume

it has been mentioned ONCE so far that it's creepy to have people watching him sleep and that was chloe's c rank ldjlj;aj

like I'm gonna play it to the end, but I do feel like if I wasn't doing All The Skirmishes this might be a fairly quick game

they at least seem to acknowledge gender stuff a good deal in a sense. I love these new solm guys. pendreo and louis are great, louis all "oh?? male bonding??" and p's just "can you not make it sound suggestive"

also I can't wait for hortensia and goldmary and rosado to join me eventually bc I'm p sure rosado is trans af and that's fascinating to me

oh also louis and jade are fascinating bc he's been arguing that memorable scenes are more important than plot and at first I was like NO NO NO but then he made a cunning argument that was literally just fanfic and I had to sit down with that
