it's very soft and squishy
I can sit on French toast thanks Japan
that sounds cute af not going to lie
I can't hate on a mobile gacha where the rewards are clearance merch
no one wanted to buy a French toast cushion but win it for free? sure why not
that said, there's a good chance some of the blind boxes may be things we don't do but someone on plurk might, so stay tuned for opportunities for us to pass on our unwanted merch
(e.g. with the French toast cushion was a Kimetsu no Yaiba figure and we def do not do KnY)
it's super popular I guess
not with me, who saw both YuYu Hakuhso and Bleach do it first and better
I like it but it's kinda boring at times
But I thought the same of YYH and Bleach
I am done with the trope rofl
as is most post-golden-age-Shounen Jump these days
Bleach isn't good but holy shit it's miles better than whatever dreck they're publishing now
and I'mma throw shade on Oda for only doing 13 page chapters right now too, what the fuck dude
french toast cushion!!! omg
I am so behind on OP so behind
honestly binging is for the best right now, the chapters are so short and everything is sooooo slooooooow
I've bailed on the anime temporarily bc the animation is so bad even I can't give it a pass
yeah honestly if I had the patience and the ability to remember shit I'd stop reading for a few months just so I could binge some
these chapters want to be good, they feel like they're trying so hard to be what I want, but it's so slow
I feel like some editor told Oda to slow his roll so they could animate huge cliffhangers but...he commands so much power he could just say nah
then again the last author note was about him drawing publicity images for Glay so
maybe he's got a good side hustle with rock stars now idk
who knows, the pacing is a mystery to me
it's so rare that the manga pacing is terrible, so... idk what's up
also Lauren I just read a fucking hilarious reddit thread about coots
people saying sure you can eat 'em...if you like dry chicken marinated in fish water
yeah they're super oily from what I understand too. all that omega 3 in the algae maybe lmao
though idk how dry chicken squares with oily
I have a feeling nobody really ever investigates far enough to know
I know from watching a hawk eat one that they have super super dark purple meat and it looked very greasy lmao
I wonder why he's slowed down
guess they can't all find rabbits like in my yard
unrelated but oh no, youtube recced me the official channel from the sumo stable of one of my favorite rikishi (Ura) and they're all so cute imma die
talking bout their hobbies like who likes what anime and Marvel movies and who goes to the sauna or plays golf omg
ngl I get why the NHK commentators always say Ura is a huge fan favorite, I love him too for no reason
next time we're able to go to Japa we're going specifically to see sumo, either in March (Osaka) or November (Kyushu - Hakata)
I seriously want to just fanboy on the rikishi, buy the towels with their names, omg
omg I love that you've become such a big sumo fan haha
I did love watching it while on Rota
I can't explain it! but I love it
I think it's the way that, as a sport, it's divorced from "sports" as it is in the west, because of all the tradition and ritual that is required to go into it
when we were in Japan last year, I was watching both the March basho in Osaka (we missed by days thanks to schedule) and the world baseball tournament at the same time
and sumo was 10000000 times more interesting than baseball even played the speedy Japanese way
....except the evening we were at Bessho Onsen outside Ueda, because I briefly bonded with the owner of the lone izakaya in town over watching Samurai Japan hit home runs in the finals
oh I 100% agree with it being divorced from the sort of team sports I'm used to yeah, the ritual and tradition aspect of it is so different from what I'm used to that by that nature alone it was just more interesting to watch
especially learning that you can never be yokozuna if your personal character isn't up to par, like wow.
and there was a scandal last year where some ex-yokozuna got all his honors revoked because his stable was liable for bad behavior, and the stable got broken up. they take that shit seriously
