the old owners left us with a few of these giant pots and I have felt bad not using them, so that’s English thyme

I’m using the other one for strawberries but something has been a-nibbling the leaves

and Chris likes hydrangeas so that’s what I put in the big corner bed

in loving memory of the hydrangea I received from my coworkers after my car accident that I tried so hard to keep alive inside and eventually failed

that was a blue one too -- I had to keep it in weird places or on apartment patios bc they’re toxic to cats

but now they can be free and happy in the yard

are oils fun they seem fun

yes and no

they’re fun because painting is fun and they facilitate it in a special way. but they can be unfun if you try to work against them, if that makes sense

for a person like me who’s impatient it can be catastrophic trying to fix something and just making it worse bc the paint is wet and you have to let it dry a bit before you can go over it, that kind of thing

stuff gets muddy easily

but when you’re in the groove it’s lovely
