very fond of him. if wu xin gets himself into trouble, he has to get out of it himself (he would actually step in if he thought wu xin is in danger but otherwise)
I don't have any, and redwall can get pretty handwavy with parents too so if you want anything particular I'm good with it but don't have anything specific otherwise
in the books the otters tend to be pretty fun loving though also more open to fighting than some. Xie Lian's backstory involves that when he was younger he did a good deal of fighting against some pirates but he regrets the violence so these days is tends towards calm
anstaar: Would it make sense that he would have taught his younger brother the way of life should be calm and not be a fighter? (Of course, he can fight too, fighter family or something.)
he'd both show him how to fight and be like, but try not to. there are other ways of settling problems! but if they don't work... also just generally sort of rough and tumble in personal life. he's just against getting involved in real fights
