Can anyone from NYC confirm that is in fact very funny that in the same day, Rudy Giuliani was disbarred and Eric Adams was indicted?
The indictment was unsealed today, the 26th, but the indictment was announced on wednesday the 25th, and Giuliani was disbarred today, on the 26th

damnit
My impression is that they're both mostly hated by the populace of the city, though reading Adams's indictment I think he might have been actively trying to unseat Rudy for the title of worst mayor of NYC
Yeah, Giuliani has burned through pretty much all his goodwill among New Yorkers, and I don't think I know anyone who's still a fan of Adams

He had already been disbarred in NY but today he was disbarred in DC too

And Adams is indicted because he accepted tens of millions of illegal campaign donations and other bribes from foreign businessmen in exchange for giving them perks in NYC (including doing things like trying to intimidate the FDNY into certifying unsafe buildings owned by said businessmen)
And then engaging in an elaborate but hilariously bad cover up scheme
he thought he was safe like the other corrupt nyc mayors
