okay. judge me i was ready for this
so. am very happy with it. there's a lot to pour through but i'm happy about it
sancho was someone who was alone from birth, an orphan ever on her own, and was set to die in like, the ruins of a burned house, cold and alone...... don quixote said she'd been a rebellious child even before then, because she didn't grasp for the offer of life that don quixote held out to her
"don't humans inflict pain onto others to soothe their own?" type shit and she said no, i just want it to end, this loneliness
she is definitely eldest child and never was particualrly close to her other kindred, which is odd since most kindred adopt a kind of family unit with siblings and whatnot... she was only ever close to don quixote and followed him most devotedly, and she said that his tales and dreams and love had caused her heart to beat more vibrantly than it ever had
the heart of it is that don quixote's dream became sancho's as she traveled with him on their adventurous stint while the rest of the second kindred and those below ummmmmmm starved <3 in la manchaland and she's chosen to remain as don quixote, as a sinner, as an actor in a play so that she can continue THEIR dream, and one day be able to be among the stars
that shine so brightly... sighs. the way dante talks about don's back when she protects them from a lance is so beautiful too. incandescent and reassuring, bright and strong...
a star in human form......... lifts her up. my baby girl
there's a lot of other little things i liked, like all of the sinners denying sancho the chance to forsake her journey in the middle the way she was by attempting to cast them aside and speaking their heart about it (she may have been trouble but she was never indecisive, she may have been loud and annoying but she always brought brightness to the bus,
she may have pushed her way into things she shouldn't have and stuck her nose into business that wasn't hers but she always did so with the most earnest intentions and etc....) it was so sweet
her mili song was fantastic. i like the duality of patches of violet a lot still but hero was REALLY good and fun... her pass on is fucking top tier it has such a different Feel to it than the other sinners and genuinely feels more like a hopeful song to face the future with
while a lot of the others range from mournful to hesitant but wishing to try,.... like yi sang she has speaking parts in hers and its very dramatic and lovely, really karaoke like
all in all i'm very happy and i'm looking forward to see the mini stories between this canto and the next to see how everyone takes to her now, they really did say "yeah you're a bloodfiend but you're still our don quixote"
sniffs. citygame was really good for her actually i did so well with beats i didn't know yet and her cr had the same vibe as the sinners in the end
