It still makes me laugh how you'd only get the "I'll kill you" dubbed version of that line on Gundam Wing if you watched it on Adult Swim. Apparently "I'll destroy you" was more kid friendly for the primetime GW dub.

We had access to the Adult Swim version only because one of my sib's friends taped it. We didn't have CN at all at that time.

i remember the 4-5pm hour was like a religious ritual part of my day with my bff when we were in middle school

missed ONE EPISPODE of GW one afternoon and had such a damn meltdown my mom let me stay up until the midnight "uncut rerun" of the episode

Yeah, we relied on whoever had the episodes taped so we got both dubs depending on the episode

bootleg fandubs in discreet black vhs cases tuned backward on your shelf like the fbi was gonna descend upon you for some pirated anime
