[Vacation Planning] Fuuuuck. I have a trip coming up in Feb to Thailand and Vietnam, supposed to be full guided tour. We just paid for the full thing yesterday, then today they said they're cancelling the guided tour part of the trip.
Now suddenly I am responsible for planning the whole trip. Thankfully, it's a cruise (of course), but there's still before, after, and the excursions for all the ports. And I know NOTHING about Thailand and Vietnam.
So now I'm suddenly needing to plan for it and I am panicking a little. At least Japan I kinda know from the culture. I know nothing about Thailand except it's a very religious country.
Can you get a refund on the entire trip? If it was advertised as specifically a guided tour, it seems like you should be able to, but I know a lot of travel companies are weaselly little fuckers about things.
quantumvelvet: No.... because we booked our airfares ourselves. Lol. So yes likely we could do the tour part, but no point when airlines won't refund that.
We're probably going to just join all the cruise tours or something. Looking into it now. Cause I don't even know how to begin planning day trips otherwise.
