Hadestown was a little different in that anais mitchell didn't original conceive of it as a musical per se, it was more a narrative album (think The Hazards of Love by the Decemberists)

and the animatics quality coming out of this fandom is so insanely high

more or less! it's definitely more opera than musical in that the whole story is in the songs, there's no in-between dialogue or anything

the last part hasn't been announced yet but knowing the creator i would not be surprised if it gets dropped on christmas
