The writing really is very good

She introduces herself to Chiho and says there really isnt anything going on between her and Mao. Chi shakes her hand and says "I'm Chiho. I'll pretend to accept that for now."

I haven't seen the whole thing yet, but I love how it implies when devils get a little bit of humanity they chill out

The original 2013 series is pretty good, which is awkward when one transitions into the 2023 second season

there's a noticeable drop in quality, from production quality and animation, but incredibly they have gotten the original voice actors back

and damn do they do a good job. the voice actors hold it up themselves
