Now, with the release of the new patch, when you start up the game the title screen shows the intro to whichever expansion you're currently up to.

I've started playing on Shadow Bringers and then immediately updated to the Dawntrail expansion so they were the only two openings I saw over these first three years

Now I open the screen this morning and it's the Stormblood opening (aka the story patch I'm currently on

why they suddenly being nice to us newbies now?

oh yeah they did that with the patch, its great

i think they got enough complaints about the trailer spoiling things for new players, or at least enough ppl pointing out it'd be nice if the start screen reflected where the player was in the msq

Was really not expecting that upon booting up this morning

I mean, I know what the opening looked like cause I've gotten curious and looked them all up on youtube already

but it's a different experience actually seeing it first hand when booting up your game

Starting off with cullinarian was the cruelest decision I have ever made crafting-wise

Nee to make jelly? you need a certain motar for that that caan only be able to be crafted through alchemy! Become alchemist? Work level up to the crafting supply I need for cullinarian? one of the items to move forward requires a specific leather that you can only get as a leather worker!

Leatherworing here I come
