Wu Xin might ask if he's feeling down and be a bit concerned, but he's not the wheedling until you speak kind of person, so he'll just bug him so he's not moping alone.

omnomivore: Yeah, I imagine his vision might be kinda exciting.... about him helping some strangers to blast his uncle off a cliff because his uncle/general wanted to pick him up and take him home to his family. And there's the understanding that's because Wu Xin doesn't want to go home to the family business.
(It's okay, his uncle is fine. Being thrown off a cliff is perfectly survivable for these guys. >.>)

Also, randomly, Wu Xin is probably meditating under Danny quite a bit if he's not hiding in his room. I THINK he might be noticed to be less of a presence up and about the ship lately, or after the port. Enough that those who see him on the regular might notice the change in habits.

There was a picnic and it was date night but WuXin will be enthusiastically invited for leftovers. Malcolm is never a big eater.

omnomivore: As a general note... If I don't reply within 3 days. ALWAYS poke me unless you want to end the thread. I usually clear inbox in 1-2 days, is already giving me plenty of funk time, I might not start threads during my funk, but I don't drop old threads... so usually it's because it's lost, or I thought I replied, or response gotten eaten.

He'd be very frustrated at this young monk.... because he's hard to catch like a butterfly. And would often just.... disappear. Because he was looking for places to sleep or meditate.

magicom: Wu Xin would be so curious about this land. If Will is busy, he might need Malcolm's help getting him off the ship every day. Since he'll be out to get the waters every day to heal things, then return to the ship. And he can't get off unless he's with a warden, right?

magicom: So he might just need Mister Malcolm's help for that. So yes, plenty of hanging out time. Although he'll eventually disappear after a while. Or if Malcolm needs to go, he'll request to stay on land. No point in getting another warden to guide him off in the early mornings when he needs to head out for the healing waters.

Wu Xin... Kinda likes that. He's never had a brother before and thinks that wouldn't be a bad feeling. But does Will think that?

I haven't been around either and there are threads I want to continue! BUT can we maybe handwave that Will is giving Wu Xin some space, since he seems to be thinking about some things? He'll still get him off the ship for port most days, but Malcolm can grab him and hang out otherwise.
(said giving of space will also include Will checking on him every few hours, but that will mostly just be locating him and maybe passing by the area Wu Xin's in to make sure he's not looking too melancholy)

Malcolm just wants everyone to have relationships with other people that they can feel safe in and reach for and that will make their lives better just by existing bc he has that and it's the BEST. such an improvement in quality of life.

siderealtime: Oh Will! He would find the kid sometimes off in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Like hidden off in the depths of the greenery. Weird places and out of sight. Probably easier to access as a wolf, honestly. Though he would sense Will coming unless Will has a way of being supernatural sneaky.

Yeah, Wu Xin was hiding in the foliage and meditating in the greenery sometimes. And it's very obvious martial arts thing cause he'll be all warm and everything. A sense of power if Will happens to pass by.
Well it's not like it's hard, apparently, but he always tries his best to be his best self.
