Does anyone else have like, one member of their family who's drastically easier to shop for than anyone else, such that you have to keep telling yourself to stop buying holiday gifts for that person when you have other family members who also need presents?
I'm not saying my sister is my favorite but she's very close to me in age and also extremely unsubtle about her interests and tastes and I have never had trouble picking things out for her.
My brother? My brother is an opaque featureless monolith in comparison. No idea what that dude is into at any point ever.

absolutely. any person who has a theme I feel is easiest, particularly if it's a wide field, like "friend who likes bears"
my problem is with the minimalists in my family

loved ones who like tchotchkes are SO easy
we've started to gift the teenage niblings all the cinema tickets, which isn't the cheapest option (because you need to give two to be realistic) but it's customisable while not being straight money and they seem to enjoy that
one nibling loves manga, one nibling loves art and rpgs, and the third nibling is a sproot who loves princesses and mermaids and fantasy creatures. Are they the easiest? Absolutely
luckily my family passes around Amazon wishlists for the more difficult people
