balsamandash: Thanks. I've been having some pain in the joint for a while and it turns out it's either arthritis (I am getting old) or trigger thumb.

And almost an hour later and I can't bend my thumb. Good thing I'm not cutting anything for dinner. I may need help tomorrow.

Hope it helps, I had to do that for one of my thumbs and it made such a difference

purkle: I did it for my shoulder and same. The doc told me I'd probably be in a bit of pain for the first day or two. Not as much room for the drug in the thumb as opposed to the shoulder.

Okay. Slept about 7 hours. Woke up and my thumb is about 75% back to where it was immediately before the shot. More mobility, less pain. Because I never mentioned it, I was having mild pain when I bent it. It usually hurt worse doing kind of a pinching motion when I was tearing open bags. (Frozen steamable veg.)

And I had full mobility.
