it also feels like such a shame bff and i went through so much effort to get dressed up, and makeup included, only for there not to be a lot of people. but it was a late show. but also I don't wanna wipe it off??

but it'll smudge and smear if I don't at least make an attempt to get most of it off....sigh...

okay as I consider lyrics of songs for shadow usernames so that I don't resort to a super silly one:
the song during the shadria friendship montage is anachronistic, that's from gd 1989. they do use a beach boys song in the movie and that one would be more era appropriate lol

it's got some okay lyrics but the beach boys song lyrics work better lol, that might've been the song for the robotnik fam montage tho I don't remember off the dome

okay also: listen I get we gonna play fast and loose with the timeline, technically we're led to believe GUN was created between the first two movies but it's actually existed for decades, look, I don't have a problem with it. it's a little silly but since when does sonic take its own canon and timeline that seriously

thing one: are we supposed to believe all these events happen in a single year? like. sure I guess but also it seemed very much like each movie was happening the year it came out but we also can figure out that's obviously not the case unless these goobers just don't age (and they're alien, y'know, they might not)-

thing two: setting 3 very deliberately and specifically in 2024 is therefore an interesting move

thing three: I have been trying so hard to figure out why gun was going to take shadow away

he's already under gun custody

my thoughts on GUN taking Shadow essentially boil down to "playing house with a teenage girl is interfering with their timetable and results"

Maria is there because Gerald is Good Enough to essentially have her as part of his rider, but that goes out the window when she's actively interfering with their experiments - better to move Shadow someplace else and sacrifice Gerald's involvement to get rid of Maria's interference

can't believe how many 'shadow reluctantly lets stone adopt him' fics I'm gonna need to write and also read in my life...
