We'll soon get my sis in law over and will be eating self made pizza and watch 1980`s movies (we're thinking The Secret of my Success and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off). What are your plans?

Happy New Year!!! I’m working today and tomorrow so we’ll just have a normal night here. But tomorrow we’ll eat black eyed peas for luck.

Oh that's interesting! In Germany, we eat either Sauerkraut or kale on Jan 1st for luck!

thanks! waltzing is New Year's tradition in Austria, I don't think I ever skipped it. they play the Donauwalzer everywhere shortly after midnight and everyone is dancing, it's really fun. the kitties were doing ok this year, I'm glad. I gave them CBD drops this time, and I think it helped.

i hope Paddy was also doing ok today and it wasn't too stressful

We have oliebollen with powdered sugar here. Traditional Dutch New Year’s food. It literally translates to oil balls but they’re sooooo delicious! Once NYE is over they’re gone again until next year. (We also can find them in the summer around “kermis” carnival time)
