So, I am going to consider this end of 2024 issues & NOT a beginning of 2025 issue - Bear came down sick on Friday, Dec 27th. I just brought him to the ED. Fever, shakes, body pain, coughing so hard he hurt something inside, extreme sweating, etc. Covid tests came back negative.
Turns out he has pneumonia and a couple cracked ribs. That poor bastard. Sometimes it feels like he just can't get ahead.
They did give him decent pain meds, and he was in and out of the emergency room in about 3 hours - which is really quick these days around here.
So he has a list of meds for me to pick up for him tomorrow at the pharmacy, and he will be bed bound (and not in the fun way) for the near future.
Ugh.

Poor Bear! He needs a fun kind of break.
He has at least 2. They aren't sure about more. Definite lung pneumonia guck. He really needs a (good not bad or bone) break but I am just glad they gave him pain meds so he can sleep.

Will do! And as far as I'm concerned, he got sick in '24, he broke himself in '24, we are getting him fixed in the new year. Yay, optimism for the win!!

I have coughed so hard I've cracked a rib, but never full broken one. But a strong diaphragm will dot hat.
Technically I think Lee said Bear's are cracked. I did not know that was possible. That is wild.

Bear is getting better with a healthy dose of antibiotics, breathing exercises, cough drops, sleep, and taking it very, very easy.
I did seem to catch some of what Bear had, and had a thoroughly miserable week, however I am in fact on the mend.
Lots of salads, seeds. nuts, kimchi and Gatorade for me. And today I go pick up a couple jars of homemade fire cider from an herbalist friend of mine.
I seem to have lost some inflammation or swelling around the face. It's weird.
Fingers are thinner too.
