New year, new experience. Mom fell and hit her head earlier today and was seen by EMTs but she's still bleeding off and on so we are at the ER. More as a precaution because of her medical history.

Oh no. Hopefully nothing serious arises

It's probably fine but she's had TIA so we want to be careful.

Yeah, of course. Head injuries should always be double checked

Also she has osteoporosis and is over 70 so being overly cautious is probably better than having to freak out in the middle of the night.

As I said she was checked out when it happened but she's still not quite stopped bleeding so we're getting it seen to.

She's still feeling fine but we're not letting her drive today.

It's more that there is a question of whether or not help closing is the problem. She might need a single stitch or staple.

I called in backup because I wasn't feeling up to everything and this place is insane.

Well, I think all the tests are finally done so we just need to hear from the doctor.

I have not slept and am unable to get comfortable here but almost thirteen hours later we are still waiting for results and to see the doctor.

Mom has been setting off an alarm for low resting heart rate pretty much since they stuck the leads on her but nobody does anything but mute the alarms.

Well, we finally saw the doctor and everything was clear except that nobody mentioned neurology.
