My mom's in surgery today for uterine cancer, so while I'm not religious, if anyone's the type to pray or just generally keep people in their thoughts, I'd appreciate that.

I've been quietly coming to terms with this in the background for the last month and a half or so, and her prospects are generally REALLY REALLY GOOD so all things considered it's like the best-case scenario of cancers, but I'm still. You know. Sad and scared.

Just doing my best to be optimistic and keep working and keep my mind off things.

One of her sisters flew out to stay with them for awhile to help out, and I'll find out when/if I should be driving down to stay with them for a bit once the surgery's done.
