Does Sleeper poke at the companion bots to see what happens?

They've probably spent hours play-stalking them and then pretending innocence. Or other things. Why not play with the robots to see how they tick?

Sleeper is disinclined to do a murder. They would prefer to just clean up someone being a mess.
