That version looks comfy af (not the jumpsuits, I understand also the jumpsuits were an actual nightmare for the actors)

honestly I like not just the notion of starfleet uniform variants being about your ship/post's primary mission but also starfleet as a whole's current Vibe, and I'm happy to take TMP uniforms as this odd divergence of "we're in a quiet comfy period" before going hard into the WoK "we need to be a navy in a cold war" period

for a hot minute they're just scientists dealing with ancient satellites that started asking existential questions
