if he gets sick a day or two before news of the illness hits somnius from the city it will just really suck bc it will seem like daily yangzhouman treatments are finally losing efficacy and he's finally on his way out for real

(until he starts coughing up lotus petals, that's NOT part of the poisoning for sure)
