Released in Japan on December 17, 1988 BUT didn't come to US/Canada until April 8, 2003
It was FF4 that was released way back when as 2 so not to confuse players
But FF2 and FF3 weren't released in NA until the 2000s
I remember not liking this game during my first playthrough. I think it had something to do with the leveling system as there isn't one? IDK
I will be playing Final Fantasy II Pixel Remaster thats on steam
Played for about an hour. Four orphans join a war... well three as one of them is missing. Oh no!
Playing more. A lot of back and forth between the Princess at Altair and the couple of towns that I've been through.\
Couldn't stop the Dreadnought and it attacked towns. Many people dead.
I met Cid! He use to be a knight until he fell in love with his airship. Now he pimps out rides for money
Definitely don't like the leveling system
And the constant back and forth
7 hours in. A lot of back and forth. A lot of RIP to characters
But now I must save a baby dragon!
yeeeahhhh, FFII loves killing off a few NPCs here and there
Went to playing more. It's a fun game except I hate leveling up the magic
A fake princess tried to seduce my poor Firion and almost succeeded!
Been playing on and off and slowly making my way through the game
Very old school RPG which I like
I'm enjoying the game more and more except the damn magic leveling
Annnnnd everyone just keeps dying
Why make a weapon that HEALS?!
Every guest character that joins you ends up dead... except Leila and Gordon
Annnnnd we let a war criminal into the party no problem
And I beat the game! The boss was much easier this time around. I definitely OP and I'm okay with that
