Perfectly happy in my one game (though Bottlecap Bay is so up my alley it's not even funny, I know I don't have the presence of mind for more than one game rn) and my characters are both engaged and having a good time.
Wanna try and do some tagouts in the Swinub Scurry event tonight (Heather is racing, and Wrath got gently dragged along by Lust so he's on the sidelines) my brain doesn't crash again.
IRL-wise, I'm trying to drag myself up out of the mire in ALL regards (need to kick my ass back to work and adult shit like taxes), but most of my mental and physical energy has just been at a low due to sleep deprivation and just generally having my routine shaken up.
I forget if I mentioned it on here, but I am currently house-sitting and taking care of my family's elderly cat while my mom and dad stay closer to the hospital for mom's treatments.
And this is where I'll be for most of the next five weeks.
Samba (family cat) is a little old man now and has some special needs so I haven't been getting very much sleep at all, haha. But at the very least I should have time to both work AND tag if I can get my shit together.
I hope things go smooth as they can friend
;-; he's my lil buddy, I AM grateful for the quality time with him
He's 16 now and has been glued to my side
please get rest when you can!
Thanks man, I am definitely... trying, lol.
Samba can't have large amounts of food at once so instead he basically gets a special little spoonful whenever he wants, but this unfortunately means that he wakes me up basically every hour on the hour
he has to put you on cat time!!
he is more regular than ANY alarm clock
yeah, when I first got honey between going out and eating, she was getting me up every 2 hours. the sleep dep is real.
extremely tired handshake
the internal clock of a cat is well documented hell
she literally gets less than a quarter cup per meal, so figuring out a schedule to feed her where she'd sleep through the night took years kfgdh
thankfully dogs don't have the internal clock of a cat "we did this once and we will do it for the rest of my life" at least
YEAH cats are nuts like that, I've truly never worked with any other animal who will take one single instance of positive reinforcement and then re-enact it for EVER
(except for my cat Scuro who is back home in Maine and for some reason is the exact opposite because she is a weirdo.)
my first cat got my grandfather up every morning at 3 am to be let outside by coming down the hall HOWLING. I did not know the internal alarm clock thing at the time, but I imagine he fed him at 3 am once and muffin never forgot
