I feel a little guilty about Emily. Originally I'd meant her to be influenced by humanity and kind of like an AI/robot reference >>;; I appreciate that I too, was traumatized by my naivete etc. and if I'd thought it through better I could have worked on how to making her more impervious but I didn't know they could be hurt etc. or even COULD be controlled

Since with humans, they obviously just have to do their best to suggest etc. Incapable of not having their own free will etc. and of course Mr. "Free Will might be BAD though!" and used to wielding his power a bit bluntly/forcibly didn't realize the damage he might do either
