he reminds me of the homophobic dachshund sometimes
“are you really wearing that”
anyway Callen and I went to the park today and he tried EVERY (low) slide
allowing for Chris to do some chores at home
and now I am making ✨crab cakes✨
Yum. But also Pip is there being like "you should have taken me to the park."

killed it
screams I'm so sick of coughing
I need my lungs to sort their shit out bc I have solos this weekend at the concert
red
higher ups need to stop threatening RTO or just pull the trigger. I'm exhausted
getting it dangled over us constantly and it's like do I need to find a new job or not
because I'm not commuting for two hours to an office that can't even fit all of us
Callen would never see me on weekdays and that's unacceptable
the majority of our team are remote, it would be an unfathomably stupid move and yet they keep talking about it anyway
on my squad alone 20 of 23 are remote. sorry I guess your game is just gonna be bare code from now on
just fuck off idk. stop giving us stupid things to worry about
no the will they won't they is exhausting
we're not paid enough to make it seriously worth moving everyone over to the Seattle area, like oh yeah let me just uproot my entire life so I can get paid less than the industry standard
which means it's probably going to be a soft layoff, but that's even dumber, because as I mentioned, if you offer this ultimatum to most of my coworkers we/they'll be like 'ok' and then you just don't have a game anymore
I need a job obviously and can't weather another layoff without a plan, I have too much trauma around it to not be a little fucked up but also being near and available to callen is super important rn
so even if it doesn't happen like this and it's for the Hasbro RI offices or whatever, mostly I'm mad that they're making me worry about it at all
plurk mobile ads I have a few questions
why does plurk think I have ED
what have I done to deserve all these ads

fucked up a thing at work I'm the dumbest most worthless employee alive etc
dealing with licensers is a special hell though and I have to stop and remind myself of this
I'm known to have the occasional Bad Time at jobs because when I'm given something that seems like a pointless waste of time I can get sloppy with it. for example lovingly rendering every scene to be as lifelike and realistic as possible in a storyboard pitch to a brand, when the commercial would be shot on film
and I'm like what's the point of this, why do this at all. can people not interpret drawings? you're beautifully crafting something nobody will give a fuck about after the pitch meeting
anyway in this particular case the line widths on two stills were slightly disparate which has literally Never mattered bc my job is to set up the keyframe poses for the animators and to also provide them with pieces to animate-- so basically the keyframes are just for them and they don't care about line widths
but the licenser cares and needs it to be absolutely rock solid perfect like it'll be in game and I'm just like. opens mouth closes mouth, it isn't animated yet, it's not Going to look like it'll be in game?? because? it's preproduction?
anyway all this to say big branded companies can go kick rocks, I give my animators what they need and I am not stupid or bad at my job for not jumping through a bunch of extra hoops to make everything shiny and perfect
but it still feels that way.
workin on comics while callen naps. tonight is choir concert #1 for the weekend
sorry to have to miss it, break a leg 🍗
we're gonna record it tomorrow! if the recording isn't shit I will share it
oh i would love to see a recording! Not gunna make it either
