I got word from an aunt that another aunt (kinda) passed away

It's a loopdaloop to explain but

My mom's only brother who passed only a few weeks after I returned from China had a long time girlfriend. My uncle had gotten screwed over by an ex wife so he refused another marriage but Kimmy and Jimmy were married in every other sense

She was absolutely Aunt Kimmy to us and she passed away sometime this week or last. I really have no details

My Uncle Jimmy had such a soft spot for Sam and I. He always said our mom was his favorite sister. She was the youngest of 4 other girls so high praise tbh. And Kimmy just took that and ran with it even though she never met our mom

She would just give us things. She'd remember our interests and just dote on us

If we even blinked through Philly she would pile us with tomato pies, hoagies, cheese fries, cheesesteaks, butter cakes, you name it.

At Uncle Jimmy's funeral, she took Sam and I for lunch at a local hoagie place that knew her very well. She paid with a 100 bill because fucking Kimmy did that, usually to see the reaction but they knew her and didn't bat an eyelash. Our meal was 25 and she left a 20 bill tip.

She was a really good person. The same day we snuck into a backyard of a home she used to own lol

They had horses so we fed them some carrots we asked for from the restaurant

makes sense to me. My uncle has a longtime girlfriend like that, never married her for some reason but as far as we're all concerned she's family

She was decades sober from being an alcoholic, she had battles with mental health. She had a really rough life, lost her first husband when they were young. Tried to keep a horse farm going on her own.

She could fix a car and build a car if she had the parts. My uncle owned an autoshop and they met because of an argument on how to fix a car or something. The details escape me but they met through an argument about cars lmao

I remember that much!

She'd offer to punch someone in a dark alley if they bullied you. I know that sounds bad but she always had your back and she was so good :c
