i am so puzzled by my boyfriend because despite being a man and being socialized as one from birth with no abnormality he has never been shown to have an ounce of misogyny in his body in my FIVE years being close with him. when i asked him about it he pointed to his progressive parents and being taught empathy from a young age. but i see a lot of men with -
very similar origins swinging violently to the right. is it a matter of them struggling to find partners early enough? is it his lack of drive for a mate, or just conventional attractiveness? or his neurodivergence allowing him a unique kind of interiority? i don't know. it's so puzzling. men like him make it hard to say the male gender is the enemy.
