9. How does your character express their affection for others? I think Alastor is very much an ‘acts of service’ type of a person. He says away from verbal affection unless it’s sort of backhanded. But he’ll do things to show affection whether it’s cooking, gifting, helping out with something etc.
Also small physical gestures. He doesn’t like to be touched or touch strangers so if he’s comfortable enough with that with someone it means he feels very close to them.
10. When does your character feel as though they've made a firm friendship as opposed to a simple acquaintanceship? When he can open up more than superficially to someone. He keeps most people at an emotional distance and doesn’t get into deeper feelings with them. Also people he can relax around and drop some of his guard are in friend territory.
18. What doubts does one character have about their relationship, or about the other? Are there any insecurities that still nag at them? HMMMMM, I do think that deep down Alastor feels like he’s unlovable and that’s part of the reason why he resists the idea that anyone could actually be in love with him.
Like he is 100% aware of his flaws and doesn’t feel like changing them to make them more palatable. So the idea that anyone would love him spite of them is kind of incomprehensible to him.
I don’t think he feels as insecure anymore about his and Vox’s relationship, but he also is expecting that Vox will get upset with him again at some point and want to leave. Because that’s just how life goes.
Awwwww Alastor. Let’s be real. Vox is oddly ride or die with some people. Exhibit a: Valentino
Until out of sight out of mind >.>
I think he is extremely jealous of Val so that’s probably for the best.
Vox would tell him he shouldn't be! But that would mean talking about the past and feelings so...
11, 13 and 14 for Diego and Alastor
11. Has anything in this relationship changed your character's perspective or philosophy on anything? I think the biggest thing is that he can have a more intimate relationship with someone without it being all snark and underhanded teasing. Not that he doesn't tease, but he doesn't feel the need to go after Diego as much as he does others.
13. Describe the way your character sees the other character in the relationship. What's their favorite thing about them? What immediately stands out? He isn't quite as close to Diego as he is to Vox but that's just because he hasn't known him as long. But he trusts Diego and thinks of him as an equal part in their triad. He's also essential to keeping
things somewhat 'normal' (as weird as that sounds) because he's more cool headed and rational than either Alastor or Vox is.
So he's more of a grounding force. He also appreciates that Diego is very very willing to submit to him and let him run the show whenever he wants to.
14. How do the characters spend their downtime together? Do you have any headcanons for what they do when it's just the two of them and there's no big activity or big conflict to deal with? I think their life is fairly domestic during downtime. Just comfortable lounging and napping around each other. Making food, doing dishes together, playing with
Mabel, grocery shopping and chatting about their day etc.
Alastor probably sings for him when the radio's on, too.
But overall he's very comfortable in Diego's presence and doesn't put his guard up with him as much as he does with most other people.
He does respect his privacy though and expects the same. But I'd imagine they share a bed maybe a couple times a month, with or without anything sexy going on.
awwwww

they really did settle into domesticity pretty easily lol. and yeah respecting privacy would def be mutual, thoughlike you said it makes sense that they'd sometimes share a bed whehter or not sex is involved
Just don’t want to sleep alone and cuddle up together.
Probably on days/nights when Vox is away.
that def tracks lol. vox just comes home some nights and finds them both cuddled up together
