1) you cannot trust LLMs to faithfully reproduce answers they query from search engines. this is not how LLMs work.

2) writers are already incandescently furious about these machines plagiarising their work, even if it would do the job well, it was a dumb choice

3) if, as speculated, the LLMs ran a keyword search to look for scandals associated with panelists, even if the LLM data is secure, you just spammed actual search engines with "is X person a child molester?"type searches, & the frequency of those searches will be reflected in later searches about that person
