This morning I woke up to a bunch of reports of racist comments

About a hundred comments from three different accounts

Each of the accounts joined November 16, 2023, then had zero activity until this morning

And like I banned them, but that’s really weird?

What was the game plan, there?

“I’m going to create three different sock puppet accounts and join a leftist group and lie in wait for a year and a half and then one morning write a hundred shitty comments about black people!”

Like, what?

woodworking is a much more productive hobby. they should look into it

I guess they assume lots of people just do no actually curate their groups etc.

And if their shit is up for 3 or 4 days, that might be enough for them... I do not know how much attention a hundred comments create in the "suggestion system" of Facebook.

Posting that shit basically costs them nothing and is most likely done via bots.

Maybe it was hacked accounts and they just got hacked? Also often spammers etc create thousands of accounts and let them sit a bit, because accounts a day old are always automatically under suspicion. Maybe it's a defense against automatic detection.
