JESUS what happened?

All I can think of right now is I hope my dog survives and is mentally intact after this since he’s my candidate and he was almost finished his training. Then all I can remember is the blood on the floor and his coat and I just cry and shake more

My shirt and pants are covered in it. I had to use anything I could get a hold of just to staunch the bleeding on the way to the er and still keep a calm enough brain to talk my panicking wife out of fetting us into an accident and give directions

Just had my friend who works here touch base. The dog is going to be okay

They were able to stop the bleeding and he is awake and aware

The household is in agreement about making the decisions to kindly let the other dog go this week. For the record, this has been an issue with him for a while and it is medical, not behavioral and this decision was made as a kindness because the dog is suffering in his own way.
