All of Act 1 and 2 take place in a canvas

And Maelle/Alicia tried to go in to disrupt Renoir and Aline/Paintress from fighting

The canvas is originally Verso's and he's the one who made the Gestrils and Esquie etc. And his mother is painting over it and making people in it so she can live beside her dead child and his creations

So Verso is a creation, real Verso is dead

But when Alicia/Maelle went into the painting, she got sucked in and ended up being Maelle and spent literal years in the canvas being Maelle

Then when everyone Gommages at the end, she remembers who she actually is - Alicia - and that Verso isn't technically Verso but iiiiiiiiis a Verso

jfc my head hurts keeping up

And we have white hair lol

FANTASTIC

So Renoir was the real villain, or the one actually trying to delete people

But the Paintress/Aline was trying to save them

But when the Paintress died everyone she tried to save Gommage'd and got deleted

Also the fuck Clea

So we're back in the canvas (Verso's) and...... we're rebuilding the canvas because..???

Verso lives there I guess

LOL I LOVE THIS BUT fuck it's hard to keep up

So Maelle is a Paintress and therefore she can make shit up, she just needs chroma to do so

So she remade? Lune and Sciel so they're ... back

And Renoir is back to being the bad guy because he wants Alicia/Maelle out of the canvas for good and to just burn it

But if it's burned then Verso is completely gone. Maelle wants to keep the canvas since it's the last thing they have of her dead brother and Renoir wants to get rid of it so the family can move on out of grief

So Maelle won't leave and now we have to deal with Renoir....... again?

I did most of the companion quests, working on Maelle's but naturally hers is way more complicated

Maelle having primarily fire elemental attacks is really fucked up lol
