My Aunt D is dying from brain cancer. Glioblastoma. Aunt E's husband also passed from the same brain cancer years and years ago but he was Navy and he 100% got it while serving. For Aunt D, we don't know

Aunt D was diagnosed ... just after I went to China

She had surgery, she did tons of treatments. She had a moment of remission, but just a moment.

Now, the options are gone and she's going into hospice

Just to note, these are all my mom's sisters

The sisters who do not speak with us, do not visit, do not interact with us since my mom died 22 years ago (which holy hell it's been that long?)

Oh and it's mother's day, lol

I nearly forgot tbh until I heard Katie talking to Munchkin on the phone

Anywayyyy. So the last I saw Aunt D was literally the week before I went to China

I haven't seen Aunt E since........................... I don't remember

I genuinely have no idea. Over a decade. Probably a funeral, knowing my family lol

Aunt E emails Aunt M about Aunt D's hospice plans. She cc's my dad

WHICH IS typical. The only info we ever get from them is usually an afterthought.

But in this email Aunt E is just spouting bullshit and rumors and lies about Aunt D's eldest daughter

And Aunt M is in Israel, the only info she gets on anyone is through these emails so Aunt M will just take Aunt E's word for it

MORE CONTEXT Aunt E is very ...... anti-vax, very conspiracy bandwagon, very difficult to talk to in general

I remember when I was a teenager, Unkie came over while Aunt E was visiting and Unkie brought some Hi Chews

She offered a Hi Chew to my cousin, Aunt E's son, and my Aunt interfered and said WE DON'T EAT CHINESE CANDIES get that out of your mouth

So I think that describes her character

So anyway, because my dad was cc'd he's now calling the cousin mentioned in the email, he's contacting Aunt D and Aunt M

And it's all bull shit but I swear Aunt E just wants to stir the pot and make it about her and I'm honestly just angry about it

I haven't seen any of them in a very long time. Decades for some. And Aunt E is always lying. She's lied about my dad. She's lied about Katie. And her sisters take her at her word and honestly. Them cutting us out might just be Aunt E's doing

So I'm sad for my Aunt D whom I hardly know at this point. But I'm more angry with Aunt E for trying to kick up drama during a time that we should instead be supporting Aunt D and her daughters and grandson

Meanwhile Aunt B is just. Doing her own thing lol. Aunt B is the eldest and so far removed from those 3

Especially since my uncle passed

Aunt B was 14 years older than my mom

And my uncle was 12 years older than her, then there's a gap and it's Aunt M, D, E then my mom

aunt E sounds like a sad bitter woman who is probably mad for some made up reason or you didn't kiss her feet enough or something

I think it's the kissing feet. I've always been at odds with her

that sucks though, i'm sorry you have to deal with drama from some person who potentially drove your family away from you

I don't know for certain if it was her. But watching this unfold I wouldn't be surprised

I just know I went from having a tight knit family at 12 to losing an entire side of the family and it felt like it happened over night

17 cousins to lose contact with is a lot lol

I feel like she just wants to ultimately make it about her

Idk how but she wants the attention and spreading rumors gets people talking to her, I dunno. All speculation but it's absolutely frustrating

i would guess something about controlling the narrative and cutting out the people who don't treat her like 'she deserves'

but it is unfortunate that her sisters just believe her, since the fastest way to stop someone like this is by communicating with each other

...though from unfortunate experience, that sometimes makes the person double down and work even harder against you

You lose so much when you lose a parent, but there's no reason to lose the whole family with them

My dad is adamantly trying to be a middle man, which I have to give him props for doing so. Hopefully he'll fill in the gaps and diminish the turmoil Aunt E has started

And poor Aunt D, fucking hell. She's literally dying and her sister is making rumors about her daughter while she's dealing with anticipatory grief and just. Who does that.
