there is another kitty but she doesn't really do snuggles

I'm shocked the lab got up on the couch, he was too arthritic to do that last time I sat them

everyone was lookin outside bc there's trucks parked out front cuz the neighbors are doing...something. yard-related? unclear lol

lab is now doing dream running, doodle knocked the pillow off the couch, kitty moved into and out of my lap but still napping on the couch with us. other kitty is chilling in the dining room

old man lab isn't allowed to play outside except to go do his business; apparently his vet says he needs to otherwise stay inside in the AC so I wonder if he's been getting heat intolerant

I wish to pet all of them.

the doodle is a doodle, he would rather be playing 24/7 which sucks for him when I don't always have energy or willingness to keep up with him

they live in a house with a young kiddo and also a baby who is now past 1yo so I imagine it's rarely boring

bruno (the doodle) used to need crated when home alone cuz he'd get very destructive; however his crate room is now baby's room so. I was at work for ~7 hours and nothing looks out of place or destroyed

he does still get v v excited when I come back but like mostly by grabbing a toy and trying to immediately get me to play, rather than BARKBARKBARK JUMPJUMPJUMP so I wonder if he's chilled out just a smidge

old man lab is grizzly. mr grizz would love to play with his brotherrrr but again. old man joints and not allowed to play outside in the heat. so he watches from the door forlornly

there was another dog, who I jokingly called my nurse bc she wanted to be by my side or on me 24/7, but she passed early last year

but yeah when I petsit and stay at someone's house my entire ability to do...productive things goes out the window for some reason so if my tags are sporadic or if I hyperfocus on one thread and ignore others iiiiit's prolly bc of this. (I will try to be better about it when I do two different weeks back to back sitting completely new animals |D)

I gotta try and get some energy out of the doodle this afternoon at some point before I do my evening shift of work but at least I don't have morning work tomorrow
