Just finished book 1 and it's really good and about /checks notes/ A werewolf, and a psychic MC investigate a super regressive religious cult -- tbf the first one is in Texas, not VT but still 
Their boss also does telekinesis 
I am not familiar with the series at all but it sounds cool
