[D&D] just finished DM my weekly sesssion, and I feel bummed that a player was not having a good time even though it’s 100% the dice’s fault

The highest the guy rolled on his d20 all night was a 6
And he was very frustrated
And like that’s just how it is sometimes but I somehow always feel guilty as the DM when the dice are out to get a player
i heard an adage the other day, "The dice have their own story to tell. It is often an unhappy one"
it's frustrating when your dice hate you but it can lead to some interesting stuff if you roll with it
