lower decks definitely has a LOT of inside jokes in it, but imo it's also standalone enjoyable! i def enjoyed all of it despite not having seen a lot of the stuff it was referencing

the reboot movies are a great jumping off spot tbf! lower decks is fun and easy to get into, and frankly? i think it'd be interesting to go into snw WITHOUT knowledge of tos because a lot of the drama of some scenes is super dampened because i know x or y character is just fine in tos LMAO

so not knowing who or what has plot armor would make snw even more fun to watch i think

it IS and now we have blu-rays thanks to the anniversary, so updating is truly in order

(there are snw characters without plot armor too of course, but still)
