so you mean to tell me that one-time purchase indie games who have mechanics using 'gambling games' get slapped with high ratings, while gatchas or even other slot machine games that have in-app purchases... have mysteriously low ratings?

the ones in the app stores ran by companies who get a cut of the profits??

gee I wonder why THAT is happening

this video covers gatchas/lootboxes quite a bit but the cases it's bookended with are just fucking ridiculous

also someone pointing out in the comments that this video was made before Infinity Nikki fucked over players by making it harder to get full outfits in the gatcha, so the thing about free currency being plentiful is no longer the case

(unrelated to the video but The Long Dark also had a graphics improvement patch released today...! I really need to try to beat the DLC missions soon)
