this was Callen’s first flight yes! And his first time seeing airplanes up close. Very exciting

He was honestly insanely good. Not that one could blame a little guy for getting fussy on a five hour flight but he was so chill

Didn’t nap but I figure that’ll only help us, with the time change

Chris informs me I get tomorrow completely off bc he had a migraine this morning and I ended up taking point

arrived in Delaware and Callen is passed the fuck out. Time to party (read and sleep)

Callen is on the strugglebus with sleeping but I’m not surprised. The time zone change is fucking with all of us

He didn’t go down until like 10:30 last night

and still woke up at 5:30am. but I think his teeth hurt too

Chris and I went to Chesapeake for dinner last night and that was nice, we had a good view of the harbor

the difference it makes having Callen’s grandparents nearby, lmao

we are learning that the only thing that gets Callen to fall asleep here is if I personally sing through my renfaire repertoire in his room for like half an hour

We were a bit pressed for time tho so we wouldn’t have been able to hang long. NEXT TIME

our already 5.5 hour flight became 6.5 hours because of storms that kept us waiting on the tarmac forever

Callen was A Lot today but I can’t imagine how this kid isn’t falling down exhausted. We had several “lie on the floor and yell in protest” incidents in the airport but honestly fewer than I anticipated

I’m glad I can still bodily pick him up

I’m also glad the people in front of him both ways were very kind and understanding about him kicking the shit out of their seat backs

I apologized in advance to both and they were like oh no it’s fine I had kids his age once

now he’s reuniting with all his toys with unspeakable energy. how does he do it. I’m so old and tired
