HERE IS THE CUTE PATOOT
CUTE BUT SPOOPY the best combo
NEVER MIND SHE HAS HER EYES CLOSED
THAT'S THE BEST PART OF THE SCREENSHOT lol

worse angle but eye balls

hwahwahwahwahwa
Okay now I actually play lol
They have no guild catalogue so all recruiting and searching has to be done outside of the game in the official discord in forum format
And idk if you guys have dealt with forum format but it's ass and when you have a lot of people recruiting all at once, it's impossible to find what you need
Both for the recruiters and the potential recruits
As I was leaving one of the trials someone ran passed me, turned on voice chat and just yelled DO YOU SPICE???
I did not reply, I was too busy dying of laughter
GOOD NEWS I found a guild
BAD NEWS I had to make a new character on a new world so I could join them. Bye bye progress
I was so picky about guilds
If they said HEY MANNNNNNN
Because I know the first thing that'll happen in vc is OH YOU'RE A GIRL?
So I joined one that was advertising like
Older people with lives - pvp and pve enjoyers. Need gatherers
I love digging in dirt for resources I could do this for hours days YEARS
I JOINED their VC before I joined the guild
No comment on gender no comment on anything
Just someone going. Wait who asked that question? I don't recognize the voice
Is that a problem? So far no.....
The lengths I must go to just for being a female who games
Have I met a single other female playing this game? No. But it is a desert, it is EXTREMELY isolating for an MMO
And that's the point of the mmo, vast, lifeless, but resources aplenty
It's an introvert's DREAM
I'm liking this guild, they've been reasonably competitive so far and chill in vc
Because I had to fully restart to join them, I'm WAY behind
Now they can literally scoop me up and just give me end game vehicles and gear but I asked them not to cause I do wanna do the progress journey on my own
But it means I can't help support their push for landsraad because the mats they're gathering for it is way out of my capabilities
But they've been really cool and chill, very play the game how you wanna
I made an oops earlier where I knew my sandbike's engine was about to go. So I crafted a spare but then I accidentally left it in a storage crate at my base
So on my way back to my base after traveling stupid far from it, the engine icon is just bright red, it has 5% life left in it and I'm lol cursing in vc for leaving the engine at my base
But one of them was very quick to be like I can drop what I'm doing and come to get you
Which was very kind! But instead I walked any time I wasn't at risk of Shai-hulud eating me. So between the rocky islands dotted around the basin
And luckily that was enough to keep the engine running just when I needed it but it completely died as soon as I got to my base lol
But it feels very supportive! So I'm pretty happy with this even though I got a warning on discord for guild hunting
Meanwhile, Spice is a fucking trip
It's like a 5 min burst of power, you can see hp bars, what weapons are equipped and see enemies at a huge distance
But after those 5 min the withdrawal symptoms are TERRIBLE
There's a cool down before you can stock up on spice again
And after that cool down you just start hallucinating
Seeing enemies that aren't there. Seeing sand storms that don't exist
The music changes and the atmosphere
I will hand it to them, it's immersive af lmao
lol it's really fun but you need a guild for sure
hmm, perhaps i'm not ready for that level of intensity
Ya, there's some things that are pvp spots and it's better together
You can buy the mats from those spots from npcs but it's costly
But man the spice addiction lol
The addiction has levels to it
If you keep consuming and keep using it, the amount you need goes up each level and the hallucinations and the cool down also get worse
Or you can use it more sparingly and remain at level 1
I have only managed level 1, I don't have the spice supply to try a higher level. Most spice I have is scavenged from noc, not spice plumes
it's so cool how they thought through the whole addition mechs
Yeah... and the hallucinations are wild
The whole screen gets like a glossy purple hue that blurs at the edges
It makes you choose carefully when to use it because fighting while hallucinating is a bit rough
do you ever get over it or do you just need to find more spice
oh okay i guess that answers my question lol
The withdrawal lasts about 5 min at level 1
So you have 5 good powerful minutes and 5 oh shit the world is spinning minutes lol
I have been waiting for hallucinations to end before consuming more spice but the addiction bar is going up anyway so I think the time between needs to be even more
I didn't get to play too much today, between tags and dealing with T H I N G S
I did a little and I decided to run through a bunch of PoIs that had Calibrated Servoks because I'm finally trying to upgrade to wind turbines
I thought they were dumb expensive to upkeep but because you can only place x amount of power suppliers, they are best for long term sustainability
When I outgrow this base and have to move on, I can decon them and move them with me without much fuss, just inventory space fuss
And the guildies, such gents, have already offered to help carry all my crap with me lol
But we are a bit off from that
I prefer to move near trading posts and the next trading post I can upgrade toward is .... 3 maps away from my capabilities
CAN I BEELINE there? Yes. Is it dangerous to do so? Yes.
When you drive by PoIs you will get shot at and my bike might go down fast up there so until I get my bike to at least mk 3, I'm not budging
I definitely am getting the hang of this game, fighting npcs wise
I still go down when I get cocky but I've definitely learned how to pick them off
I am that person who brings a knife to gun fight lol
But shigawire........ so good
Shoot me, np. I will just grapple your face to my face c:
lol I was in a PoI with another guildie who is doing a sniper build
And I just run in balls to the wall and they hang back and they were like How the fuck do you parry them every time
Oh, this parrying is easy compared to Clair
And they were like......... Oh. That game.

yis
Speaking of, I might play some tomorrow. I am feeling better to get back into NG++ but we shall see. I might end up busy since classes start Monday
All this time I was like ........ this cover kinda sucks. My head is sticking out and I am as short as you can go
WELP turns out you can hit a whole button and then height slider doesn't even matter.
Crouch, in my defense. Was not in the tutorial
If it was, I was probably too busy doing some barbarian rage warcry as I charge in with a shiv
Anyway, next time I play, I need to harvest Carbon. So. Much. Carbon. It is Steel time and everything I own needs to be upgraded before the dura completely fails me
AND SOON Aluminum which meeeeeeeaaaaaaaans Ornithopters
I can't wait to be a menace on the sand and the sky
My guild has their base in the middle of a radioactive field.......
So you need a radiation suit to get into the base

why are you like this
I mean, I guess I could just BOOK it. It won't kill me right away but lol
I was about to go to bed, but the guild is scrambling to grab everything from our Deep Desert outpost before the Coriolis hits in the morning
The Coriolis acts as a weekly "map cleaner" in the Deep Desert
It changes the locations of PoIs, the loot tables swap and any outposts get deleted
You can build in the Deep Desert PVE zone, but you can't keep it
We mostly use it for refueling, repairs and storage
Someone..... did not clean out the storage after a spice run
So we just have entire ornithopters FULL of spice
I just finished my last run but lol
The guild leader was so annoyed. We were intending to just go to deconstruct the outpost so we could keep the supplies for after the Coriolis so we could rebuild the outpost faster in the morning
But then I checked one of the crates and was like Oh no............
So a 15 min task turned into an hour
SOOO WE MISUNDERSTOOD THE CORIOLIS A BIT
Apparently we get a whole 24 hours of warning where there's NO other sandstorms just an update every hour that says 6 hours until the Coriolis, 5 hours, 3 hours etc
But during that 24 hours, it's UNBEARABLE to play
There's literal wind gusts constantly, visibility is horrible
You can't see more than 50 meters in front of you
I accidentally drove straight into quicksand twice lol
I finished the story missions up to the epilogue and logged out
It's really hard to play with literal sand whipping across the screen constantly
I'll probably just play Clair tonight lol
Oh good grief. They pushed back the Coriolis by a day for NA servers because there were connectivity issues yesterday
So people weren't able to log in to collect their Deep Desert outposts
But this now means we only have 6 days before next week's Coriolis
And it also means logging in to another day of constant sand blowing through the screen making visibility impossible
So all I did today was decide on an end game base location and move all of my stuff to the new spot
It took about 5 trips, including the first trip that was just for scouting
I tried to find a base location that was near the edge of the world map for easier access to it, with a wide enough road for a buggy to get in and out from, close to a trade post, some plants for emergency water, and fuel cell cluster spawns
The one downside is it's in the shadow of a cliff and gets very little sun. This is usually a good thing but it means my base will actually need light fixtures if I wanna see any of what I'm doing
I'm a decent distance from the guild's base so I could easy make the bottom half of my base for guildies and the top half just for me to use since
WELL at least in my opinion
In a really good spot for Erythrite crystals as well which is needed for cobalt paste
Which is needed for a lot of higher tier recipes
Sooo having a quick drop off near by might be helpful
Idk but I'm happy atm with the spot
We'll see if I keep that enthusiasm as I actually play and things come up that I'll need

When you accidentally fat finger the spice hotkey and have to sit in timeout in the guild base until the effects wear off

Don't mind me, just watching our little Muad'Dib while spice'd out of my mind nbd
