first off I got all of this marked down to 50 cents... one of those skeins of DMC would've cost that much

there's some unlabeled metallics at the top, some floss meant strictly for making friendship bracelets, an old bit of J & P Coats black...

and then this variegated blue/lavender floss that seems to be a small batch/handmade thing???

this company still has an online shop! but their labels look different now and I don't think they even sell 100% linen floss anymore

I will say that the skein feels a bit stiff, I'm not sure if that's due to age or if a good wash will cure it. BUT it's a very pretty floss and I'll have to use it on something special

also picked up some nice yellow fabric pieces, I was thinking about replacing the fabric in the hoop I use to display my pins and needle minders since the fabric in it right now is too busy. one of these solid color or muted fabrics will do far better

but my actual collection of fabric is still in Texas, so that's why I picked these up

otherwise I got a couple of nice porcelain cereal bowls, a pack of plastic hangers, and a few shirts to wear during work hours.... but Arc's prices are pretty terrible for clothes tbh :/ I paid like $7 or $8 per shirt

that's not good prices for thrifting at all. buuut it being a new store, they had a whole row dedicated to crafting goods and plenty of nice books, so I might try it again in particular if I need other things for crafting

it was a 20 min drive though so I probably won't go back very often 😫 there's a Savers I like that's only about 13 mins away so that's a more likely option next time

I went to the grocery store today too.. and I wore my converse so while it was nice for a hot day, my feet are killing me now...

at least I got compliments on my purse AND asked where I got the shirt I was wearing all in the same day. hashtag fashionista

oooo the Gale plushie I preordered FOREVER ago finally arrived!

he's a LOT bigger and heftier than I expected him to be, more than worth the $30
(I also got a Rimworld pin set from Youtooz for $30 and that felt like it was much less of a good price, official Rimworld merch is rare though)

but Gale is very firm and huggable... if all their plushies are this quality that's awesome

one of the most annoying things about being lactose intolerant is that most protein supplements/protein-added food uses whey.

it makes it hard af to even find protein drinks in stores because I have to use plant-based only, and sometimes I still trip up.... Trader Joe's might be good about having a lot of vegan food, but their pancake protein mix sure uses whey still!

thank god the protein cheerios uses pea protein in it or I wouldn't be able to eat that either

I did buy some Orgain but I'm not super fond of this birthday cake flavor even in almond milk... once this tub is out I'll try another brand I guess

I'm also training a new hire at work next week which, thank god. it's taken them ages to get another Forms person and this is a real benefit for if I can get a new job and leave
