The Silurian trying to attack Liz becomes a lot less intimidating when the background music sounds like someone playing the kazoo.

I just got my first glimpse of the classic Silurians at the end of episode 3 - they definitely look different from what I'm used to.

Also, Dr. Quinn's attempt to use the escaped Silurian as a hostage failed miserably, almost immediately, and entirely off-screen.
