my dad & his partner were gonna be visiting this week but had to cancel because her mom is in bad shape. went to the hospital for a broken hip, had two seizures and is now in hospice

dad was apologizing so profusely for not being able to come and I'm like dude jolene would Not have a good time if she was here and something happened with her mom in Iowa. we'll postpone it

having said that I am a bit sad but I cannot think of a better justification for canceling
