It's a game made by former Telltale staff and the timed-pick-a-response-to-the-dialogue that is Telltale's bread and butter is sometimes in there
You play as Mecha Man, a superhero with a suit of robot armor. Unfortunately, your armor has been trashed. So now instead you work as Dispatch for a sueprhero agency.
You've got a team of Z-tier losers. All of them petty criminals who seem to be doing hero work as part of a condition of their parole.
Calls come in from citizens in crisis and you need to decide who goes outto solve it.
There's also a minigame for hacking remotely to solve some problems directly yourself.
A standout moment of the demo for me: There's a guy with fire powers in your squad codenamed Flambae
I try to send him out on an assignment but the system won't let me. There's no explanation, just a little thumbs-down over his portrait
Okay, whatever, I pick somebody else, I can figure that out later
But then I see Flambae walking around on the map, even though I haven';t told him to do anything.
And then a call comes in from the location he was just in a minute ago
Mecha Man on the radio: "Flambae did you fucking start this fire"
Flambae: ineffectually feigning innocence
The dialogue is snappy and well delivered by Aaron Paul, who is just a great performer
Only real concern? THe dialoguye does sometimes feel like it's trying too hard to be too adult
Not the worst I've seen but it got a little cringe in that way a couple times
