I’m making progress (I’m up to the third turn of Susie shit-talking) but. CHRIST.
Well I got to the mysterious voice encouraging me
If you make it far enough the voice starts to believe just like you
Honestly the attack that fucks me up the most is the one where it splits the box and you have to dodge the debris
Why the fuck does that do SO much damage
The sword dance is nasty but it doesn’t actually do that much damage
But if you fuck up twice during the debris drops just kiss Susie’s ass goodbye
who do you have the shadow mantle on

Kris. Susie’s got the armors from the previous two super bosses to maximize her damage with Rude Buster
I'd still put it on Susie, if she dies you lose your only real source of damage
yeah the most important character to keep up is susie and maybe kris
ralsei has to fend for himself
So my logic on not putting the Shadow Mantle on Susie is two-fold
1) FFXIV raid logic: the more damage I’m putting out, the fewer mechanics I actually need to do.
In particular, if I’ve got maximum damage on Susie, and she Rude Busters every turn (plus or minus one I think) and I get the bonus damage from the timed hit...we never need to do the third split-arena mechanic. The one with the diagonals. Holy fuck.
2) Susie is only a good source of DPS because of Rude Buster. Which takes a LOT of TP to use every turn. You really need both the other two up in order to be able to consistently do it.
So it doesn’t really matter who’s up and who’s down, if someone goes down it’s an emergency no matter who, so there’s no real advantage to protecting a specific person.
my own reasoning, also from ff14 raid logic, was that susie's DPS on turns where she's dead is zero
Kris doesn't drop to -999 when they're KO'd so they can be brought back up with regular healing items, which is a factor
