1. 5th Businesses, or characters who are just there to help the hero with advice or cool items. 2. Mass produced 'people' such as robots or clones who become aware they've been programmed to do what they do and rebel, or ones who have just existed long enough they have their own personality.
3. Hard workers/heroes whose work is never really acknowledged or known about by the public. And we're not talking those who need to live in secret or those who are actively hated. Just they do what they do and nobody notices.
Yeah, no problem. I also enjoy playing that character type, I think it’s because the character finding their identity and the player finding their voice as the character in the story dovetail really well for me.
Yeah, for me it's typically due to the fact the character has to literally grapple with free will and they get to choose what to do with it. Some of my favorite answers are:
1) Ken Kenma, be ace, do crimes. 2) Murderbot watch TV, help people who're just stuck in the shitty situation caused by other people. 3) Wall-E, Explore, Love, and bumble about enough to wake up other folks.
