BDO: Very pretty graphics, very bad desync and rendering

Basically the reviews I've seen say:
Very pretty
Disjointed story
PRETTY PRETTY combat
Weird af controls

So it's basically Black Desert but without people KoSing you because they feel like it

The weird af control complaints make me giggle. The game is built like an arcade game. Think old school street fighter where you get the joystick and the six buttons. That's how it's meant to be played on keyboard

They barely allow you to rekeybind in the MMO

And with someone with 9 fingers that actually work, this is a huge frustration but Pearl Abyss does not give af c:

The number of times people are like "just do x y z" and I'm like LOVE TO BUT CAN'T

But yes, the combat is notorious for big dopamine flashy swirly acrobatic bullshit rush

Anyway, I'm probably not playing this game. I say this a lot but...

I know PA storytelling, it's quirky, they love to do perspectives and I am unsure I wanna buy a game for that.

But.

PA is king at combat. Action combat. You'll never find another dev this good at action combat. There are some hot contenders, but PA takes the cake

I do miss the combat some days

Now that they're doing demos though, I'm definitely going to be tracking this game more actively

A lot of my old guildies are throwing their opinions at me about the demos, lol I can't escape

So I guess we'll have to suffer together c;
